Manchester United drew 2-2 against Southampton and Ole believes “We got what we deserved”

Disappointment comes from Man Utd’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after United conceded a last-minute equaliser from Southampton on Monday. Ole admitted that they did not deserve to win after Michael Obafemi equalised in the 96th minute.

The result has now left United in fifth place in the Premier League, missing their chance to move to third!
In a statement, Ole said,

“It’s the worst time to concede a goal, but that happens in football. You’ve just got to take it because we’ve won so many games that way ourselves. Its all part of learning for this team to be sat there, really disappointed, after you think the three points are in the bag”.

“We probably didn’t deserve three points today. They played well, they’re physically very fit. We never got the rhythm in our passing”.

The late concession was not due to fatigue, though. Ole believes they have had enough recovery and it was ‘just one of those days’. United didn’t take their chances, so Southampton took theirs at the very end.
